I slept in ridiculously late, yet again. That's okay though! It's nice to wake up feeling rested! I worked on filing and figured out my menu for the exam for the majority of my day! I also began watching a documentary called "The True Cost," which delves into the world of fast fashion and goes behind the scenes at sweatshops abroad. It makes me want to buy second-hand clothes, and ORGANIC clothes for that matter! Our skin is the biggest organ on our bodies, and yet while we try and eat clean and unadulterated foods we can forget about the chemicals we expose to our skin every day. Crazy!
I ran to a nice café down the street at a pottery store to meet Nan and Bren for a bite to eat. Bren and I shared a Shakshuka (hummus topped with a tomato/pepper sauce and two fried eggs) with sourdough toast and a beef and caramelized onion sourdough sandwich. I also got a hot chocolate!! :D I think I've decided that I can't get hot chocolates anymore and must resort to making them myself. All of the ones I've gotten here are too milky and not chocolaty enough!! Ugh! Every time I get one I think it's going to be different, but they're always the same! At least the one I had today was made with Wilkie's Chocolate (the local organic bean-to-bar chocolatier in Midleton).
So other than that and catching up with people, my Sunday was uneventful. Now on to WEEK 10. Goodness how has time gone by like this!? I'm so excited to see my dad and my sister on Saturday! I can't believe it's so soon! :D:D:D:D:D
Sending love home!!!
