Today was awesome!! Looking through all of the pictures (which are a LOT by the way!), I realized that there's a lot of motion! It's been fun experimenting with different types of photography. I hope you like them!
I woke up and went straight to do my long run, and met some cows and a potato on the way. It was actually really funny when I stopped by the cow's pasture - they all came running over to me from across the field, mooing. It made me really happy :). After the run, I went to the Ballymaloe House for a bit with some of the girls and we looked into the Grainstore, where they hold events. What a beautiful venue! I'm actually going to a wine tasting there in a month, so hopefully that'll be fun!

After walking around at Ballymaloe, we went to the BEACH! Woohoo! Apparently kite surfing is popular here, so that was fun to see! Also, the funny looking island in the background of the first picture, you can see the Ballycotton lighthouse! These next pictures are just some of what I found while I was there. All great fun! The guy doing the back flip is a student here on the course named Stan! I took some action shots of him practicing flips off of random things and thought I'd showcase his skills!
After the beach, Nan and I went to the retro food truck here at Ballymaloe that an instructor here runs, serving Eastern European food on Sundays. We got some chicken soup, potato pancakes with creamy mushrooms, and a shashlik (pork kebab) with various veggies. YUM!!!! The weather has been so perfect today - sunny, breezy, and semi-warm. Eating outside was a great way to start winding down the day :).
Ahhhh so now the weekend has come to an end. (Also, check out the steam rising up from the soup!! I didn't realize the camera captured it - so cool!) On a random note, I've started to notice some of the maple trees here blushing a bit! Fall's coming!!! Woohoo!! If you get a second, take the time to walk outside and bask in this beautiful world we live in. It's amazing what little things you'll notice if you really look, like a small sand dollar in the surf, or a little sheep baaaaahhing at you from a distance. I love life!
This week is going to fly by, I already know! I hope everyone has had a great weekend! Can't wait for this week's adventures! Sending lots of love home!!
